Who am I?

My name is Dr Nerys Frater & I'm an NHS GP with a passion for helping people take control of their health using lifestyle medicine.

I founded The Lifestyle Clinic in 2018 after feeling frustrated with the lack of support for patients wanting to make positive changes to their lifestyle and who wanted to decrease the need for medication. 

I've decided to host this event to give you the best head start in 2025. My main aim is to change perspectives and open your mind to other possibilities. Why diets don't work, (and indeed can cause harm), how counting calories can lead to focussing on the wrong thing, and how the traditional strategy of focussing on food to lose weight stops you from reaching your ultimate goal; weight loss and control of your health!
